The upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game set "Scarlet & Violet 8.5: Prismatic Evolution" is scheduled for a January 2025 release. This mini-set will likely contain around 100 cards before secret rares and is expected to include cards from two key Japanese releases: ex Starter Decks: Generations (set to release in November 2024) and Terastal Festival (December 2024). The set will also feature additional cards not yet confirmed.
"Prismatic Evolution" will continue the trend of including ex Pokémon, with notable evolution lines such as Blaziken ex, Lugia ex, and Xerneas ex. While the chase cards and specific trainers are not yet fully revealed, it is anticipated to offer around six special ACE SPEC cards.
This set will be legal for tournament play approximately two weeks after its release and is expected to integrate various evolution lines from these Japanese products(
